YUKON QUEST 2013

The 1,000 mile long toughest dog race in the world started from Whitehorse on Feb 2 - so a great opportunity to take some images of these superb athletes enjoying the run - eager to go and can’t be stopped. See some of my images in the “Portfolio/Recreation & Fun” tab....

By the way, the race ended in Fairbanks this morning (Feb 11) - Allen Moore (#11 above image at the start) of Two Rivers, Alaska was the winner at 8 days 20 hours on the trail (with 11 of his original 14 dogs); just over an hour ahead of last year’s winner, Hugh Neff.
